Angie Coleman is a long time resident of Taos, NM, having grown up outside of Chicago, IL. She graduated from California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, CA, and, though known primarily for her color woodblock prints, also works as an oil painter and sometimes with pastels.
The major inspirations for her imagery she develops from hikes among the mountains of New Mexico and Colorado. She makes her prints using the reduction method with heavy applications of ink in combinations of gorgeous colors that are exceptionally rich and appealing.
