"The Island" is my mind's image of Cheung Chau Island, a favorite location to hike during the year I lived in Hong Kong. During Covid, my "island" has been inside out. Twice a day I walk through the woods around our beaver pond on a path sandwiched between water and the outside world. Memories of past places and dreams of tomorrow fill the gap that has been the past year.
